Reading List 2021: Through the Eyes of a Forgotten Bibliophile by Avileena Dutta “ A first reading is something special, like first love.” –Graham Greene. It surely was, for me. When I first laid my hands on the evergreen literary masterpiece, Harry Potter, I fell in love with reading. And consequently, I delved deeper and deeper into the world of reading, finding solace, inspiration, and entertainment inside it. Although I wrote my first poem in grade two and have been a reader ever since I remember existing, it was when I read Harry Potter I truly found myself entering through the doors that led to a world of magic, letters, and meanings; the world of bibliophiles. But it all came to a screeching halt three years later, as I started to focus on boards, the pandemic, doing other things. And gradually and knowingly, I forgot about books. The role they played in my life, their magic, their importance. My shelves remained lonely, coated in dust and longing, while I moved on with my lif

I found it a spiritually fulfilling read.  Although when I started this one, I assumed it's a novel but it's just a small book with a few characters and some life changing advices that are simple to read but complex to grasp.  It's really a short story and I finished it in under an hour without any breaks. But it should also be noted that it's different from other Paulo Coelho novels. I personally didn't expect it to be this way but I enjoyed it nevertheless. The Archer by Paulo Coelho is a profound and mind-blowing book. It's best recommended for the readers of Mikhail Naimy and Khalil

Circe by Madeline E. Miller | Review by Mohini Jugran

Circe By Madeline Miller Ratings : ⭐⭐⭐⭐ "There is one thing Gods and mortals share. When we are young, we think ourselves the first to have each feeling in the world." ~Madeline Miller Circe is a Greek mythology written by Madeline Miller, author of The Songs of Achilles which was not only a n international bestseller but also won her many awards.  It was no surprise that Circe is the International No. 1 Bestseller - Shortlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction 2019. It also won Goodreads Choice Award for Best Fantasy. This novel details the life of Circie- the daughter of Helios , the Titan Sun God and Perses, the nymph. Growing up, she feels like an outsider because unlike her siblings, she is very plain, fragile and doesn't have power. But everything changed when she realizes that she indeed has power. The reason I've always loved the greek Gods is because of their power and pride. It encompassed all that and more. The magic, power, pride, madness, grief and l

Unleashed: Fae Shifters by Madilynn Dale | Review by Mohini Jugran

Title- Unleashed: Fae Shifters 2 Author- Madilynn Dale Ratings- ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review- Unleashed is the second installment in the Fae Shifters series which continues the story after book one titled Releasing The Power Within. Madilynn Dale comes back with a very powerful and interesting return for the storyline.  It is fantasy novel that follows Liz through her journey as her life changes from a normal girl to a person with super natural powers.  I loved the way Madilynn has explored the magical fae world. It was very engrossing and engaging. The manner in which characters are developed sometimes shows that some work needs to be done but other things are quite good. The tale is masterfully woven and showcases an exquisite story. As it is not a standalone book, it is advised that one reads the first book in the series.  I found the plot interesting enough that I finished it in just two days. If you're looking for something interesting and short to read over the weekend, you can try this one

In collaboration with @read_reactreview @author_rakhikapoor  Book : Rebelina Author: Rakhi Kapoor Ratings : ⭐⭐⭐ Review: This book is a beautiful collection of a few short stories. It has a total of 18 stories that feature different strong women in various phases of life. These women face some thing in life. Their journey is very encouraging and motivating to read. Certain stories felt a bit hard to relate, tbh. But the overall storyline was very good indeed.  Some of these stories will press on a raw nerve, it is written opulently, some stories I felt were rushed. What I liked the best about these stories is how the protagonists are so bold and inspiring. People who are into feminism can give it a try. For me, it was an okay-ish read.  In short, it's a collection of inspiring stories with a streak of feminism. #rebelina #rakhikapoor #rakhikapoorbooks #bookreview #readreviewreact #bookstagram #indianreviewer #bookish #bookstafam #bookblogger #booksofinstagram #goodreadschallenge20
