Title: Me Before You Author: Jojo Moyes Ratings: Five Stars Louisa Clark is an ordinary girl living an exceedingly ordinary life—steady boyfriend, close family—who has barely been farther afield than their tiny village. When she learns that Will has shocking plans of his own, she sets out to show him that life is still worth living. You can have some of this and some of that or all of this and none of that." Based on one of America’s most notorious real-life scandals—in which Georgia Tann, director of a Memphis-based adoption organization, kidnapped and sold poor children to wealthy families all over the country—Lisa Wingate’s riveting, wrenching, and ultimately uplifting tale reminds us how, even though the paths we take can lead to many places, the heart never forgets where we belong. Memphis, 1939. Twelve-year-old Rill Foss and her four younger siblings live a magical life aboard their family’s Mississippi River shantyboat. But when their father must rush their mother to the hospital one stormy night, Rill is left in charge—until strangers arrive in forc

Butter Chicken | Akshay K Saxena

Butter Chicken - The Key To A Treasure by Akshay K Saxena Actual Ratings: 3.5 Stars Okay so I got to know about this book and thought about giving it a try. It's a very short, less than a hundred pages book that is recommended to those who enjoy reading short interesting stories.  I liked the writing style considering it's the first book of the author and would like to read more by him.  The entire treasure-hunt thing was cool and had my utmost attention for the span of entire read.  Happy Reading!

Review of Tomorrow's Woman by Greta Ballamacina

Title; Tomorrow's Women Author: Greta Bellamacina Rating: Two and a half Stars A dazzling poetic meditation on motherhood, female identity, ennui, and love by Greta Bellamacina, London-based poet, actress, filmmaker, and model. Personally I picked it up a couple of times trying to see the magic others saw in this one. But honestly, I just failed to see it. Halfway through after a dozen attempts to understand her thoughts, I gave up. There were so many things that didn't resonate with me at all. Maybe others might enjoy it. Many have. But this one just wasn't for me, I guess. It just seemed like an average book of mediocre writing skills when I did finish it successfully. Tomorrow's Woman isn't my kinda book.

The Apartment by K. L. Slater | Review by Mohini

Title: The Apartment Author: K. L. Slater Rating: Four Thrilling Stars Disclaimer: I received a free ARC in exchange of an honest review from Netgalley, Thomas and Mercer, AmazonPublishing. A fast-paced page turner that is immensely gripping. You just get hooked to the lives and can't wait to find out what happens next. The narration is very intriguing. The storyline just doesn't leave the hold over you. My second read by the author and I'd absolutely read more of hers. I would also recommend if you have the kicks for the suspense. It's the story of Freya Miller who is a mother of a five year old little girl, Skye. After the betrayal of her husband two years ago and now his death, Freya finds herself amidst financial crisis which she has no idea how she will survive. The money from her late husband's insurance can only last so long and she has to think about something and fast. What she doesn't expect is the miraculous offer by a stranger who meets

Where The Lost Wander by Amy Harmon | Review by Mohini|

Title:Where The Lost Wander Author: Amy Harmon Ratings: Five Shining Stars Disclaimer: I received a free ARC in exchange of an honest review from Netgalley, Lake Union Publishing, Amazon Publishing and Amy Harmon. In this epic and haunting love story set on the Oregon Trail, a family and their unlikely protector find their way through peril, uncertainty, and loss. Amy Harmon beautifully tells the tale of Naomi who is the protagonist of this story. She along with her family are on their way to finding better possibilities in life. Widowed at a very young age, Naomi sets off to West with her family on a wagon. What she didn't expect was to form an instant connection with John Lowry, a half-Pawnee man straddling two worlds and a stranger in both. “The hardest thing about life is knowing what matters and what doesn’t,” Winifred muses. “If nothing matters, then there’s no point. If everything matters, there’s no purpose. The trick is to find firm ground between the two way

Review | Regretting You by Colleen Hoover | Mohini Jugran

Image
****Four Unregretful Stars**** Disclaimer : Received an ARC from Montlake Romance and Netgalley in exchange of an honest review. It was a first mother/daughter book I read which had alternating POVs and I was a bit worried that it would somehow set me off considering the blurp itself said, "Morgan Grant and her sixteen-year-old daughter, Clara, would like nothing more than to be nothing alike." What started out as a normal story of a family somehow had me connecting more with Morgan than her daughter even though I'm personally closer in age to Clara. Colleen gave kinda easy clues as to what would happen as the plot unfolded page by page but dayummmmm, it was gripping and gut-wrenching with the overload of emotions just like any other CoHo book I've read so far. Morgan and Clara had the very relateable mother-daughter issues of this age and I couldn't help but see things from a parents' POV which was an eye opening experience for me. To be hones
